Katerina Kuznetsova has been writing poetry in Yiddish since 2022. Since the beginning of her writing career, she has become a prominent figure in the contemporary Yiddish literature landscape. Her works have been published in major literary journals and media, including Yiddishland, Afn Shvel, Di goldene pave, Birobidzhaner Shtern, and Morgnroyt. Among the main topics of her poetry are reflections on the passage of time, cosmic eternity, survival after the apocalypse, and the magic of nature.

Kuznetsova's works have been set to music by various artists, translated into four languages, and included in international anthologies.

Musical Adaptations & Artistic Collaborations
Kuznetsova’s poetry has been adapted into musical compositions and performance programs by leading figures in the contemporary Yiddish music scene:

  • Di Shkatulkelekh – A concert program featuring 12 poems by Katerina Kuznetsova set to music by Marina Frenk and Lisa Hoppe. The ensemble also features prominent musicians Paul Brody, Christian Dawid, and Daniel Stawinski. The program has been performed several times in Berlin, most notably at the opening concert of the Shtetl Berlin Festival in June 2026.

  • Goles-lider (Yiddish Futures)A collaborative musical project by Daniel Kahn, Rosamond van Wingerden, Francesca Ter-Berg, and others. The project sets works by five contemporary Yiddish poets, including four poems by Katerina Kuznetsova, to new music.

  • Polina Shepherd – The renowned composer and vocalist Polina Shepherd has set Kuznetsova's poem "A farbetung tsu a viglid" to music.
